Face swap between two photos is very simple. But ai Deepfake technology has now made a tremendous impact on video. The world famous characters have already been involved, and when personal videos have been on the Internet for a long time, everyone else has a greater chance of being affected.
Introduction to deepfake
Ai Deepfake technology applications are processed in many different ways. One way is to put facial expressions on one person and apply them to another. The video above is just that. On the right is Obama’s face on the left, quoting the speech of the one on the right.
The other way is to take a face and apply it to a video like a movie. There are such videos made using the face of the Nicolas Cage actor.
Ai Deepfake technology derives its name from “Deep” because it uses Deep Neural Networks, an Artifical Inteligent algorithm that can detect patterns and interactions in large data. Fake is fake.
How to operate

These Neural Networks are excellent at computer vision, or photo / video analysis. Deepfakes uses an autoencoder neural network. It has two parts; 1) encoder – converts the photo into a small set of data, and 2) decoders – converts that data back into a photo.
But unlike standard encoder / decoder software that runs on a set of pixels, Autoencoder operates on elements such as images, shapes, objects and patterns. A well-trained person can create new images and eliminate the dots in a photo. When set to work on face-to-face photos, it identifies the eyebrows, eyes, nose, and mouth. (Here we are talking about Frames. A video is a collection of photos / frames.)
Ai Deepfake technology apps use two such Autoencoders. One is training the actor’s face and the other is training for the target person’s face. The app then combines both of those outputs and creates a new video that mixes what the actor does to the target person.
Advantages of using ai Deepfakes instead of VFX

Ai Deepfake technology doesn’t just have the amazing ability to switch two faces. Visual effects, or VFX’s, are already seen in movies. But it takes a lot of effort, expensive, and high-performance computers to build them.
The specialty of Ai Deepfake technology is that anyone can do this with a small computer system (compared to a studio). This can be done with a computer or cloud with a good processor and a powerful graphics processor. Photos face-to-face services (Webtools, Apps) are out now. But still, to make a more successful Deepfake, you have to do smoothies in addition to the computer.
In video processing, Deepfake AI requires multiple angles of photos of your and the target person’s face, and inputs a number of videos and captures that knowledge in frames. This is why Deepfakes imitate the faces of famous people, such as Presidents and Actors. Depending on the quality of the hardware and input data used, this training may take weeks or months.
The good and the bad of deepfake ai technology

Deepfake is good news for the film industry. When the public is hit, aging, or dying, the actors in the popular film series will be able to create a success like they used to.
The best example is the view of the Princess Leah in the movie Star Wars: Rougue One (2017). Carrie Fisher actress died in 2016 at the age of sixty. Also, she wanted to film her youth. Another actress and CGI used a dotted mark on the actress’s face to create the scene for a few seconds, with only a single word, “Hope.” Deepfake would not have been so complicated.
Because of these Ai Deepfake technology apps that anyone can freely use as open source apps, Mr. Donald Trump’s face is Mr. Funny videos of Bean’s face emerged.
The problem is that John Wick’s murder, or the use of the Deepfake technology, is killing character because of the pencil that children have to write. The Internet is flooded with fake blue films with famous faces, false claims made by politicians and famous characters.
A man named Redfit’s deepfakes made blue films with Gal Gadot’s now starring Wonder Woman, singer Taylor Swift, and Lady Maisie Williams of Game of Thrones. Russian President Putin and former US President Barack Obama have created a variety of statements. These foreshadow the inevitability of Deepfakes creations and the emergence of misleading people.
how to Identify ai Deepfake

Deepfakes are videos that modify a part of each frame so that the eyebrows, skin color etc can be detected by the human eye. But a trained AI can do it even more subtly. They will identify the modified parts in the frame.
The University of California, Riverside University has developed a neural network, and the University of Surrey in England has developed a blockchain that combines existing video clips with Deepfakes.
The DARPA Research Agency of the US Department of Defense has begun to work on this, and organizations such as Microsoft and Facebook have organized competitions to inspire programmers to create such applications.
“This is a challenging issue. No matter how defensive systems are discovered in cyber security, the aggressor will find more ways. ” Says Amit Roy, a professor of electrical and computer engineering research
That means; We need to actively work to eradicate this latest technology. Everyone is promoting their videos through social media. If you use them to make a malicious video with your face and kill a character, where can it end up? Comment section is open to discuss.
